BRÈVE HISTORIQUE Né en argentine, d'un père Diplomate et d'une mère secrétaire dont il empruntera le nom de jeune fille comme Pseudonyme, Chris De Burgh apprend la guitare à l'âge de 12 ans, dans le chateau Irlandais que ses parents ont aquis.. Au début des années '70, il se rend à Londres. Après de multiples petits concerts, il fini par signer chez A&M puis assure en 1974 la première partie d'une tournée de Supertramp. Par la suite, ses premiers Albums, vont rapidement le faire connaître dans la plupart des pays européens et Américains. Ce n'est toutefois que lors des années '80 que la consécration va survenir avec des titres tels que "Don't Pay the Ferryman", "High on emotion" et surtout le fameux "The Lady in red", qui devient internationnalement connu... Lors des années '90, il va continuer à produire d'interessant albums, dont notamment un album à l'approche symphonique, enregistré avec la complicité d'un orchestre. Il poursuivra cette expérience en jouant ainsi en concert, auprès d'un public dont l'estime ne cesse de s'accroîte dans des pays tel que l'Allemagne, la Russie ou même l'Australie ou encore le Japon.. Revenu a une entité "Groupe" avec formation de musiciens, Chris de Burgh revient à l'élaboration d'albums plus conventionnels. En 2002, il fini par quitter A&M Records, afin de diriger sa propre maison de disque dénommée "Ferryman Productions".
