BRÈVE HISTORIQUE & MUSICIENS |

C'est en 1980 qu'apparaît "The Graduate", groupe britanique formé alors par Roland Orzabal et Curt Smith.
Cependant, cette formation change rapidement de nom pour devenir "Tears for Fears".
Dans les années suivantes, les albums produits sont très remarqués au niveau international. Un succès mondial et mérité est donc au rendez-vous.

Le duo restera ainsi formé jusqu'en 1990, date à laquelle Curt Smith ira chercher ailleurs sa direction musicale.
Après un Album Solo (Soul on Board / 1993), il deviendra enfin leader d'une formation se nomant "Mayfield".

Mais le départ de Curt Smith ne signifie par pour autant la fin de Tears for Fears. En effet, c'est seul que Roland Orzabal
tiendra les rênes du "groupe" !...
Toutefois, lors des années '90, après deux albums studio et une compilation d'inédits, la popularité s'estompe quelque peu.

Laissant provisoirement de coté "Tears for Fears" Roland Orzabal composera un album à son propre nom en 2000 (Tomcats screaming outside)
Par la suite, les contacts entre les deux musiciens semblent se renouer.
Effectivement, en 2002, ils décident de retravailler ensemble..
L'excellent "Everybody loves a happy Ending" nous arrive enfin en 2005. Tears for Fears existe encore bel et bien !...

Pour la promotion de cet Album, un inédit a été ajouté
aux titres déjà connus. Il s'agit de : Laid so Low (Tears Roll Down).

"Saturnine Martial & Lunatic" est un album ou figurent des essais, des previews, des titres non finalisés etc..
Bref cet Album est fait pour les fans, pour ceux qui veulent connaître parfaitement le groupe...

"Everybody loves a happy Ending" est composé de 12 nouveaux titres originaux.
Dans ses premières éditions,
cet album se trouve complété par un second CD contenant des remix DJs de certains de ces mêmes morceaux
